A step drill bit is a specialized drill accessory shaped like a cone with graduated “steps” from 4 mm up to 32 mm in diameter. Each step lets you drill holes of different sizes with a single bit — you don’t need to change bits for each hole size. These are usually made from high-speed steel (HSS), often with Titanium or Tin coatings to improve durability and reduce heat/friction during drilling.
